Hero of the Last Week: Meet Strangers. Take Their Souls.
I’m working hard, kids. It’s been so long since I knew what work was, then I had to be my own evil boss and I knew that I’m a shitty employee. What should have been out last week comes to you this week instead. Which proves that my heart’s in the right place, it just doesn’t beat on time.
Last week’s HOTW is a mixture of joy and sadness. As with mots good things that appear on this site, I found Meet A Stranger by accident. I didn’t write down what I was looking for but I was looking for it and didn’t find it but found this instead. In June of 2006, for whatever reasons of her own, a lady in Louisville, KY set out to meet unknown folks in and around her town, get their stories, photograph them and share it on the internet.
Now for the sad part of this hero. The last entry on her blog is dated December 19th of 2006. I wonder if her life got to hectic to meet new people and log their lives. Hopefully, she’ll start back logging her adventures and keep bringing the world a little closer, one person at a time.
